Learn More About the Chevy Malibu Remote Starter

Updated: 3/9/2018 The Chevy Malibu is a car that improves your everyday life. In its latest model year, the Malibu offers outstanding fuel economy, a fun and fresh driving experience, and technology that keeps you in the loop with everything you care about. Beyond connectivity, the Malibu also has convenience amenities that can smooth over the rough spots in your day. One of those features is Chevy’s Remote Vehicle Starter System. If you don’t know how to use this remote start feature, or if you’re interested in what the system can do, keep reading below. How to Use Remote Start on a Chevy Malibu Imagine it’s Monday morning: You look out the window while drinking your morning coffee and shiver. There’s no snow on the ground, but the sky is a solid sheet of grey, and you know without checking the weather that it’s cold. You dread the walk out to your car. You balk at the moments you’ll spend behind the wheel before it has warmed up. Maybe there’s frost on the windshield that you have to scrape off. Now imagine the same miserable morning, but you look out the window with a smile on your face. You grab the key fob for your Chevy Malibu and do the following: Lock the car. Remote start won’t work if your car is unlocked. Press and hold the remote start button. It’s the one with the circular arrow on it. You have to hold it down because Chevy doesn’t want you to be able to accidentally remote start your car (the way most car alarms are triggered). When the signal lights flash, your car is on. The engine will run in an idle state, and your climate control settings will activate. Insert your key into the ignition. When you go out to your car, put your key in the ignition and turn it to start your car as normal. Even after remote start, you need to put your keys in the ignition or you won’t be able to go anywhere. With the push of a button, your Malibu will turn on, engaging the heater, defrost, and even the heated seats if you’ve got them. Your car will be toasty when you go out to it, so you can have your coffee and get ready to walk out the door without dreading the first frigid minutes of your commute. Once you engage remote start, your car will shut off again after ten minutes of inactivity — a preventative measure so that you don’t burn off all your gasoline while your car is just sitting there. That’s why you should only start your car just before you leave. You can also cancel remote start by holding the same button until the lights flash again. Try Out the Chevy Malibu Remote Start System in Sun Prairie, WI The Remote Vehicle Start System’s availability starts with the LT trim. At Zimbrick Chevrolet in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, we have a great selection of Malibu models for you to choose from in our inventory of new cars for sale. Chevy Cruze vs. Ford Focus: Which One Cruises to Victory?

There’s a lot to love about the Chevy Cruze. With the charmingly bold inside-out design to complement its outstanding capability, this crafty compact car holds its own against all-comers. And the Ford Focus is no exception. With a much lower MSRP, the Cruze gives the Fusion a run for its money — literally. But how does it stack up to its Ford counterpart in other categories? Read on to find out. A Test of the Best: 2017 Chevy Cruze vs. 2017 Ford Focus Which Model is Designed to Dominate? While the 2017 Ford Focus isn’t hard to look at, it’s not much more than meets the eye, either. The 2017 Chevy Cruze, however, packs big personality into its compact frame. A sporty grille rounds off the Cruze’s aerodynamic curves. And with a solar-absorbing glass window, the Cruze looks like it was chiseled for performance. But that’s only the outside. Offering 47.2 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded down, the Cruze Hatchback easily surpasses the 16 cubic feet of the Ford Focus – and it’s not even close. Which Model is Primed to Perform? The 2017 Focus generates some impressive horsepower, but with only 32 mpg of highway fuel economy on its non-hybrid trims, it’s all bark and no bite. On the other hand, the 2017 Cruze can nearly reach that in the city. Boasting a standard 1.4L turbo engine that’s capable of achieving an outstanding 40 mpg of fuel efficiency on the highway, it’s not hard to see why the new-and-improved Cruze is Motor Trend’s second-best compact sedan. You do the math. Which Model is a Safe Bet? The 2017 Ford Fusion comes with seven airbags. That’s pretty good. But the Cruze was the first car in its class to have ten standard airbags. The peace of mind doesn’t end there, though. With a full suite of safety technology, such as the rear view camera, Stabilitrack® traction control, and an available Driver Confidence Package, the Cruze provides security that the Focus just can’t match. Cruise Ahead of the Field in Sun Prairie, WI It’s plain to see how the 2017 Chevy Cruze edges out the 2017 Ford Focus. And because we’re in the business of winning here at Zimbrick Chevrolet, we want to set you up with a model that has as much drive as you. Schedule a test drive or stop by today to get started.

Chevy Cruze vs. Ford Fusion: Why the Chevy Wins Head to Head

Debating between purchasing a Chevy Cruze and a Ford Fusion? Or maybe you’re just interested in how the 2017 Chevy Cruze does in comparison to others cars in the midsize category. Continue reading to see why the Cruze is clearly the better choice. Chevy Cruze L and LS versus the Fusion S The fact of the matter is that not all of us have extra dough to spend on unnecessary features. The following are a couple reasons why you get more with the base model and LS versions of the Cruze. Why pay more? The base model of the Chevy Cruze is considerably cheaper than the base model of the Ford Focus. The Cruze L is the base model, which comes in a manual transmission. If you prefer an automatic transmission, the Cruze has an LS, which is still cheaper than the Fusion S. For details on New MSRP, check out Zimbrick Chevrolet. Performance Cruze longer Get an EPA estimated fuel economy of 28 MPG in the city and 39 MPG on the highway. On the LS automatic, it’s 30 MPG in the city and 40 MPG on the highway. Compare that to the Fusion’s 21 MPG in the city and 32 MPG on the highway. Carry more You get a bigger trunk volume with the Chevy Cruze. On both the L Manual and LS Automatic, the trunk volume is 22.7 cu.-ft. The Ford Fusion S has a trunk space of only 16 cu.-ft. A Better Exterior Easier parking The overall length of the Chevy Cruze’s L Manual and LS Automatic are 183.70 in. This’ll make it easier to squeeze into street parking. You probably won’t get that as much with the lengthy 191.8 in. of the Ford Fusion. Sportier appearance Aerodynamic sculpting and dual projector headlamps make for a more dynamic styling on the Cruze. Dual projector headlamps light up the road for improved visibility during nighttime driving. The automatic on/off feature allows users to remotely turn the vehicle on or off when needed. This amenity comes standard on the L Manual and LS Automatic. Choose from a hatch or sedan For the first time, the Chevy Cruze has added a hatchback. The Cruze hatchback offers 47.2 cu.-ft. of cargo space when the second row is down. The Fusion simply doesn’t offer a hatchback version. Learn more at Zimbrick Chevrolet Want to know more?
