Introducing the 2020 Corvette
Design
The 2020 Corvette is all about muscle and power. Born in a wind tunnel, the Corvette features sharp, clean lines which slice through the air unhindered. Even the LT2 V8 engine is visible through the rear hatch window.
Thanks to the mid-engine placement, more power is directed to the rear wheels to amp up performance. This also frees up space under the hood to provide an extra front cargo area so that you can transport more gear or luggage. This model is the first to deliver a retractable hardtop, which allows you to enjoy the convertible style the Corvette is known for while also maintaining peak performance when the hardtop is replaced.
Because the front windshield is positioned directly over the front wheels, the Corvette offers added downforce to keep you grounded as you roar down the track. Don’t sweat oncoming speed bumps or steep inclines thanks to the front lift system, which raises the front of the Corvette an additional 2” in less than three seconds to provide higher ground clearance.
19” front and 20” rear wheels paired with all-season tires give the speed and traction you need to enjoy your Corvette all year long.
Performance
Power up your Corvette with the available 6.2L LT2 V8 engine, which delivers 495 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine allows you to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in an astounding 2.9 seconds and can travel a quarter mile in just 11.2 seconds with a top speed of 194 mph.
The 8-speed dual-clutch transmission delivers superior shifting performance with minimum power lost between gears. Calibrate up to 12 performance variables so you can tackle any weather or terrain with the available Driver Mode Selector.
Safety and Tech
Access your favorite apps and media through the 8” diagonal color touchscreen, which is centered on the dash for added convenience. Keep your eyes on the road ahead with the color Head-Up Display, which projects information directly on the windshield.
